This "argument" has been around awhile and shows up subtly in, of all places, *Amadeus*. The gay Peter Shaffer codes into the Salieri character that God made him with desires (desire to make great music = homosexual desires) but denied him acting on it, while Mozart makes sublime music without really trying and is heterosexual but a philanderer, so he concludes God is just a big ol' unfair meany and conceives a bitter quest for revenge. Bitterness is believing God got it wrong or is unjust.
So alcoholism has a genetic component to it. That doesn’t mean that going out and getting plastered is ok. Getting drunk is a grave matter sin, the same as homosexual acts.
I think the Fall of Adam and Eve warped the order of creation, which is why we see things like diseases and people born with certain sinful dispositions like alcoholism and mosquitos feeding on human blood and stuff like that.

That’s a good point about the genetic basis of alcoholism!
As long as I think I am ok, I am ok, and the mind disregards all wisdom and authority of God. Who is God,even, to those perishing. He must be foolish.
Let God's light pierce the darkness.
Excellent. One of the best analyses and counterarguments to the question of why did God create LGBTQ people?
